Joseph Couri, MD Honored with Outstanding Physician Award

Peoria, Illinois (July 10, 2009)--Dr. Joseph Couri of Methodist Medical Group Rheumatology has been awarded the 2009 Most Outstanding Physician "Dr. Tom Clark Award" by the Methodist Medical Group (MMG). The award was presented this May at the annual Methodist Medical Group spring meeting and retreat at Weaver Ridge.

Dr. Couri is board certified in Rheumatology and Internal Medicine. He completed his medical education at St. Louis University and his residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Dr. Couri has been with Methodist since 1997.

The Tom Clark Award was first presented in 2006 and is given annually to a MMG physician who demonstrates excellence in patient care, community service and personifies the Methodist Mission and Values.
