Methodist Website Wins Award for Outstanding Achievement in Web Development

Peoria, Illinois (October 14, 2009)—For the second year in a row, the Methodist Medical Center website, MyMethodist.net, has won the Web Marketing Associations WebAward for Outstanding Achievement in Website Development of a Health Care Website.

More than 2,000 sites from 47 countries were judged in 96 industry categories during the competition. Entries were judged on design, copy writing, innovation, content, interactivity, navigation, and use of technology.

The 2009 WebAwards was judged by a team of independent Internet professionals representing a variety of relevant disciplines of web site development. Judges included members of the media, advertising executives, site designers, creative directors, corporate marketing executive, content providers and webmasters.

Since 1997, the Web Marketing Association’s annual WedAward Competition has been setting the standard of excellence for website development.
